    Worst Storage Bin Ever

Posted by Lisa Dettlaff on Dec 28th 2022

Purchased 1 of the 50lb bins and 1 of the 25lb bins for dog food storage. The plastic is very thin compared to IRIS and BUDDEEZ food containers. Design is horrible as you have to struggle to open the lid every time, and its not removable for cleaning. The seal in the lid is cheap foam which won’t last very long and then stop sealing. The square design is terrible and the bottom is flimsy. If you put 50lbs of food in this thing the bottom will crack from the weight. The bottoms of all these need to be thicker and have reinforced ribs molded into the plastic. I saw one bin in the store that already had a crack in the bottom just being shipped to the store. Again, the lid is really difficult to open and the stiff plastic will eventually crack from the stress. I’m going to purchase some 5 to 7 gallon food grade buckets with screw on lids once these break or just get so frustrating I use them to store Christmas lights.

    Nice size but bad construction.

Clear plastic is too thin and mine has already cracked by the lid hinge. Lid is not removable to scrub oils from the lid and container. Cleaning is a huge chore. Gasket is laughable. Clear plastic looks nice but light destroys vitamins and antioxidants. Human grade large food storage containers are opaque. Vitamins and supplements are sold in dark brown or dark green plastic bottles for a reason. Save your money and spend more for something with a screw top lid and a good gasket, or at least a lid that latches and isn’t a struggle to open and close every day. This same bin series is sold under several names and they all suck.

    Cracks Easily

Posted by MTS on Jul 27th 2022

Clear plastic is not thick enough and both of mine have cracked within 6 months. Top cover is not removable for cleaning and warps easily. No latch on top and you have to struggle to open an close it daily. Top gasket might keep bugs put but is no air tight. These will be unusable within a year and will have to be replaced. More Badly designed Chinese junk. I have other type bins from a pet smart that are 5 years old and still doing the job.
