Meet Our New President, Craig Knies

Feeders Pet Supply is excited to announce the appointment of Craig Knies as President & CEO effective September 13, 2026. With more than 40 years of industry experience, Knies brings extensive leadership expertise and a strong commitment to employees, customers, and the communities we serve. Prior to joining Feeders Pet Supply, Knies spent 19 years with Houchens Food Group, Inc., where he held several executive leadership positions, including Chief Merchandising Officer, Senior Vice President of Merchandising, and Vice President of Operations. His experience spans merchandising, operations, sales, and marketing. “I am excited to join the Feeders Pet Supply team, a company with a rich heritage of investing in employees, serving customers, and supporting communities—values that align closely with Houchens Food Group’s mission,” said Knies. “I look forward to building on that foundation as we pursue expansion opportunities, develop our people and introduce innovative services that support our community of pet families.” Beyond his professional experience, Knies is actively involved in community and industry organizations, serving on several charitable and professional boards, including the Red Cross Board of Directors, the Red Cross Leadership Council of Southern Indiana, and the Board of Directors for IGA North America. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana State University. Since 1959, Feeders Pet Supply has been dedicated to helping pets and the people who love them.
