Felanorm Oral Solution should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling or administering this medication.
The included dosing syringe should be rinsed, cleaned, and dried between doses and individual fillings (if multiple fillings of the dosing syringe are needed to provide a single dose).
Missed Doses
Administer the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give two doses at once.
Side Effects
Side effects may include (but are not limited to): appetite changes, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, and abnormal vocalization. These effects are more likely to appear within the first 1-2 months of treatment, and in many cases should decrease and/or resolve over time.
Notify your veterinarian if the effects described above or any other side effects appear and become persistent or troublesome.
Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.
Drug & Food Interactions
The following medications may have potential interactions with this medication (but may not be a comprehensive list): benzimidazole antiparasitics (e.g., Panacur), beta blockers (e.g., atenolol, sotalol), phenobarbital, and prednisone/prednisoLONE.
Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.
Please ensure your veterinarian is aware of all medications and supplements that your pet is currently receiving. Your veterinarian may prescribe multiple medications, even if a potential drug interaction may occur. In these instances, your veterinarian may adjust the dosage(s) or monitor your pet more closely.

For oral use in cats only- not for use in humans.
Do not use in cats with primary liver disease/renal failure, autoimmune disease, or hematological disorders. Do not use in pregnant or lactating queens.
Do not administer to animals with known history or suspected allergy/hypersensitivity to methimazole, carbimazole, or polyethylene glycol (the excipient). Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform Vetsource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies.
If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, discontinue therapy and call your veterinarian immediately or seek emergency veterinary attention. Symptoms may include (but are not limited to): swollen lips, tongue, face, or airways, difficulty breathing, agitation, profuse salivation, and widespread hives or itching.
Human Exposure Warning
Wear impermeable gloves when administering this medication. Wash hands with soap and water after handling the medicine (even if gloves are worn).
This medication may pose potential risks for individuals who are actively trying to conceive, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and women who are breast feeding (may be present in breast milk). Women who are pregnant, nursing, or who may become pregnant should also wear gloves when handling litter or bodily fluids of treated cats.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place at a controlled room temperature (77°F, excursions permitted between 59 to 86°F). Keep the container tightly closed and out of the reach of children and pets. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not store this medication in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink, or in damp places. The medicine may break down if exposed to heat or moisture.
