U-40 Insulin Syringes 1/2 Unit Markings with Disposal Container

This UltiGuard Safe Pack from UltiCare VetRx contains 100 premium U-40 insulin syringes with half(1/2)-unit markings and a sharps container for safe disposal.

UltiCare VetRx Insulin Syringes are used for the injection of U-40 insulin in pets with diabetes. These syringes are marked in half-unit increments for smaller pets and/or when half-unit increment doses are being administered. The UltiGuard Safe Pack is the only all-in-one system to store, dispense and dispose of pet insulin syringes, meeting safe needle disposal guidelines in all 50 states.

Dogs and Cats

Insulin should be administered as directed by your veterinarian. Your veterinarian will determine the correct dose of insulin needed for your pet. To draw the insulin into the syringe, inject the insulin bottle with the syringe and pull back on the syringe plunger until the proper dose is inside the syringe barrel.

U-40 Insulin Syringe 29G x 1/2", 3/10 cc (mL) allows up to 12 units of insulin per injection.

Your veterinarian will prescribe either U-40 or U-100 insulin for your pet. It is critical that you use the corresponding insulin syringe for proper dosing.

While U-40 is often prescribed for cats and dogs, it’s important to know there are two types of syringes used for insulin injections: the U-40 syringe has a red cap and tends to be smaller in size versus the U-100 syringe, which has an orange cap and is larger in size.
