Drontal® Feline Tablets: 10 mm, round, yellow tablet, quarter scored (into 4 pieces), imprinted with D/8. (NDC 58198-0034-01)

Usage
Drontal® should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian as a single oral treatment, unless otherwise directed.

2-3 lbs: 1/2 tablet
4-8 lbs: 1 tablet
9-12 lbs: 1.5 tablet(s)
13-16 lbs: 2 tablets
Missed Doses
Quite often, a single dose of this medication is effective. Measures should be taken to prevent re-infection.
Side Effects
There are very few side effects when the drug is given at the usual dose. Side effects may include salivation and diarrhea in cats.
Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.
Drug & Food Interactions
Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, and a drug interaction may be anticipated. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.
Cautions
Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform Vetsource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.

Storage
Store at 68°F to 77°F in controlled room temperature, excursions permitted between 59° to 86°F.  Brief exposure to temperatures up to 104°F permitted but should be minimized. Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Store in a childproof container. Store this medicine in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not store this medicine in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink or in damp places. The medicine may break down if exposed to heat or moisture.
