Easotic® Otic Suspension is indicated for the treatment of otitis externa in dogs associated with susceptible strains of yeast (Malassezia pachydermatis) and bacteria (Staphylococcus pseudintermedius).

Usage
Easotic® Otic Suspension should be applied as directed by your veterinarian. Clean and dry affected area prior to use. Shake the canister vigorously for 30 seconds prior to each use.  Prior to first use only, prime pump 1-2 times to fill the clear canula/applicator with product. Carefully insert the canula into the affected external ear canal(s) and apply amount directed by veterinarian (about 1 ml or a single pump) of otic suspension once daily for the duration directed by veterinarian. Gently massage the ear. Wipe the nozzle clear of debris, replace the cap, and store upright. Wash hands after use.
Missed Doses
Give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give 2 doses at once.
Side Effects
Side effects are expected to be minimal with the proper topical use of this product. Possible side effects may include skin irritation and redness. Talk to your veterinarian about any side effect that seems unusual or bothersome to your pet.
Drug & Food Interactions
There are no documented drug interactions with this medication. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, and a drug interaction may be anticipated. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.
Cautions
Easotic® Otic Suspension is contraindicated in dogs with known or suspected hypersensitivity to corticosteroids, imidazole antifungals, or aminoglycoside antibiotics. Do not use in dogs with damaged ear drums. Care should be taken to avoid contact of the medication with the dog’s eyes. Contact of the bare hand with the medication should also be avoided. As a class, aminoglycoside antibiotics are associated with ototoxicty, vestibular dysfunction and renal toxicity. The use of Easotic® Otic Suspension in a dog with a damaged tympanic membrane can result in damage to the structures of the ear associated with hearing and balance or in transmission of the infection to the middle or inner ear. Immediately discontinue use of Easotic® Otic Suspension if hearing loss or signs of vestibular dysfunction are observed during treatment
For topically use in the ears only. Not for use in humans. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children. In case of accidental skin contact, wash area thoroughly with water. Avoid contact with eyes. Humans with known or suspected hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone, aminoglycoside antibiotics, or azole antifungals should not handle this product. The safe use of Easotic® Otic Suspension in dogs used for breeding purposes, during pregnancy, or in lactating bitches, has not been evaluated.
Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.

Storage
Store at 68°F to 77°F in controlled room temperature, excursions permitted between 59°F to 86°F. Protect from freezing. Keep bottle tightly closed and stored upright after use. Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Store in a childproof container. Store this medicine in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not store this medicine in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink or in damp places. The medicine may break down if exposed to heat or moisture.
