Precautions
*For complete product information including warnings and precautions, please refer to the manufacturer package insert.

For oral use in cats only- not for use in humans.

Do NOT administer Felycin-CA1 to cats with preexisting liver disease or diabetes mellitus. Discontinue immediately if a cat receiving Felycin-CA1 is diagnosed with diabetes mellitus.

Due to the available tablet strengths, cats weighing less than 2.5 kg (~5.5 pounds) cannot be accurately dosed.
Available information does not indicate that Felycin-CA1 is immunosuppressive at the recommended dosage. However, treatment may theoretically impact the treated cat's ability to mount an adequate immune response to vaccinations. The use of Felycin-CA1 in cats with chronic viral diseases has not been evaluated.
Use with caution in cats with the MDR1 mutation.
This medication should NOT be administered to pregnant animals or those that are used for breeding. Safe use of this medication has not been established and should be used with caution in nursing animals,

Do not administer to animals with a known history or suspected allergy/hypersensitivity to this medication or any of its ingredients. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform Vetsource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies.
If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, discontinue therapy and call your veterinarian immediately or seek emergency veterinary attention. Symptoms may include (but are not limited to): swollen lips, tongue, face, or airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; and widespread hives or itching.

Human exposure warning
This medication is classified as hazardous due to potential exposure risks; individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid contact with this medication, and those with a known hypersensitivity to sirolimus should exercise extreme caution if handling the medication is required.
Unopened, intact tablets may not pose the same degree of risk as injectable drugs, which usually require extensive preparation. Cutting, crushing, or otherwise manipulating tablets may increase the risk of exposure. Wearing gloves is recommended when handling this medication, and hands should be washed thoroughly with soap and water afterward (even if gloves are worn).

During normal handling, the coating on the tablets will prevent contact with the active ingredient, sirolimus. However, if the coating is broken down (e.g., through ingestion or vomiting by the cat), exposure can occur.
Ensure that any tablets that are not swallowed by the cat are disposed of immediately.
Avoid direct contact with vomit, saliva, or tablet remnants. When cleaning up vomit, saliva, or tablet remnants, wear gloves and wash hands afterwards.

Drug and food interactions
The following drugs* may have potential interactions with this medication: ACE inhibitors (e.g., benazepril), antidiabetic agents (including insulins), azole antifungals (e.g., itraconazole, ketoconazole), calcium channel blockers (e.g., amlodipine, diltiazem, verapamil), corticosteroids (e.g., dexamethasone, prednisone), cyclosporine, eprinomectin, JAK inhibitors (e.g., Apoquel, Zenrelia), maropitant (Cerenia), metoclopramide, and phenobarbital.
*NOTE: this may not be a comprehensive list. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.

Please ensure your veterinarian is aware of all medications and supplements that your pet is currently receiving. Your veterinarian may prescribe multiple medications, even if a potential drug interaction may occur. In these instances, your veterinarian may adjust the dosages or monitor your pet more closely.

If you are concerned that your pet has experienced an adverse reaction to this medication, please contact the manufacturer PRN Pharmacal at 1-800-874-9764 or Vetsource Pet Owner Care at 877-738-4443.
