Active IngredientsPotassium bromideInactive IngredientsMicrocrystalline cellulose, dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, stearic acidUsageKBroVet-CA1® should be given orally as directed by your veterinarian. Do not stop giving the medication unless advised by your veterinarian.Missed DosesGive the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give 2 doses at once.Side EffectsDog may experience drowsiness when taking KBroVet-CA1®, but this will generally go away after approximately 3 weeks. Increased hunger, thirst, urination, vomiting, constipation, anorexia, and uncoordinated movements may occur with KBroVet-CA1®. During the load in dose increased nausea may be experienced. If your pet experiences any sudden changes or experiences: profound sedation, stupor, ataxia, diarrhea, excess salivation, shivering, skin lesions, contact your veterinarian immediately.Other side effects may occur, if you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.Drug & Food InteractionsThe following drugs can potentially interact with Potassium bromide: acepromazine, amitriptyline, clomipramine, diphenhydramine, furosemide, foods containing chloride (salt)- follow your veterinarians instructions for keeping dietary changes to a minimum, levetiracetam, methocarbamol, phenobarbital, tramadol, trazodone, and zonisamide. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely.CautionsThe safety of KBroVet-CA1® has not been established in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Not for use in cats. Not for use in humans.Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.Adverse ReactionsIf you are concerned that your pet has experienced an adverse reaction to this medication, please contact the manufacturer PRN Pharmacal at 850-476-9462 or Vetsource customer service at 877-738-4443.StorageStore at 68°F to 77°F in controlled room temperature.
