Benefits

Usage
Mometamax® should be applied as directed by your veterinarian. Clean and dry the external ear prior to administration. Shake bottle well before use. Gently squeeze the prescribed amount of this medication (usually in drops) as directed by veterinarian into ear and massage the ear to distribute the medication.
Use bottle within 28 days of first use.
Missed Doses
Give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give 2 doses at once.
Side Effects
Possible side effects may include skin irritation and redness. Talk to your veterinarian about any side effect that seems unusual or bothersome to your pet.
Drug & Food Interactions
There are no documented drug interactions with this medication. Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, and a drug interaction may be anticipated. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.
Cautions
This medication is not labeled for use beyond 7 days. Avoid getting this medication into your dog's eyes, nose or mouth. Do not use in dogs with perforated ear drums. Inform your veterinarian if hearing loss in noted during the use of this medication, while most effects are temporary, some hearing or balance impairment may not be reversible.
Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.

Storage
Store at 36°F to 77°F in controlled room temperature. Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Store in a childproof container. Store this medicine in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not store this medicine in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink or in damp places. The medicine may break down if exposed to heat or moisture.
