(Manufacturer: PAI Pharma; NDC: 00121-0759-08)UsagePrednisoLONE Sodium Phosphate Oral Solution should be given to your pet as directed by your veterinarian.Missed DosesGive the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give two doses at once.Side EffectsCommon side effects may include (but are not limited to): excessive thirst/hunger/urination, dull/dry coat or hair loss, weight gain, rapid breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, GI upset/ulceration, muscle wasting, and/or behavioral changes. Notify your veterinarian if side effects appear and remain troublesome.Other side effects may occur, particularly with long-term administration. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.Drug & Food InteractionsThe following medications have been noted to have potential interactions with PrednisoLONE Sodium Phosphate Oral Solution (but may not be a comprehensive list): antidiabetic agents (eg, Bexacat, Senvelgo), Apoquel, aspirin, cyclosporine, fluconazole, fluoroquinolones, insulins, itraconazole, ketoconazole, mycophenolate, NSAIDs, phenobarbital, and potassium-depleting diuretics (eg, furosemide). Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.Ensure your veterinarian is aware of all medications and/or supplements you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a potential drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely.CautionsThe solution form of this medication does not have an FDA-approved indication for use in animals, but it is a common and acceptable practice for veterinarians to prescribe this human medication for use in animals.Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform Vetsource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies.If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, discontinue therapy and call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic.
