Trazodone 100 mg tablets: 12 mm, white, round tablet, scored in half, imprinted with PLIVA;434. (NDC 50111-0561-01, 50111-0561-03)
Trazodone 150 mg tablets: 19 mm, white, oval tablet, scored in half & imprinted with PLIVA;441 on one side, tri-scored & imprinted with 50;50;50 in each section on the other side. (NDC 50111-0450-01)

Usage
Trazodone should be administered as directed by your veterinarian. Do not give more medication than directed.  May be given with or without food. 
Missed Doses
Give the dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose, and continue with the regular schedule. Do not give 2 doses at once.
Side Effects
Side effects associated with trazodone include lethargy, sedation, staggering, vomiting, diarrhea, panting, hyperactivity, shaking, restlessness, and/or agitation. Side effects will generally improve with time so may veterinarians recommend waiting a few days to determine response if the side effects are mild.
Other side effects may occur. If you notice anything unusual, contact your veterinarian.
Drug & Food Interactions
The following drugs can potentially interact with trazodone: antihypertensive drugs, aspirin, azole antifungals, cisapride, CNS depressants, digoxin, diuretics, fluoroquinolones, macrolide antibiotics, MAO inhibitors, metoclopramide, NSAIDS, ondansetron, phenothiazines, SSRI antidepressants and tramadol. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences any unusual reactions when different medications are given together.
Make sure to tell your veterinarian what other medication you are giving to your pet. Quite often your veterinarian may prescribe two different medications, even if a drug interaction may occur. In this case, your veterinarian may vary the dose and/or monitor your pet more closely.
Cautions
This medication does not have an FDA approved indication for use in animals, but it is a common and acceptable practice for veterinarians to prescribe this human medication for use in animals.
Use with caution in pets with a history of liver, kidney, or heart disease.
Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.

Storage
Store at 68°F to 77°F in controlled room temperature. Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Store in a childproof container. Store this medicine in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Store away from heat and direct sunlight. Do not store this medicine in the bathroom, near the kitchen sink or in damp places. The medicine may break down if exposed to heat or moisture.
