Cate gate too large
My 50lb German Shepherd Mix can fit through the cat door, which sort of renders the gate pointless. I solved this by cutting a bar out of the cat gate using an angle grinder and smoothing the remaining edges with a metal file, and keeping the cat gate 'locked.' Other than that the gate is fine, but really the cat gate is almost twice the size it needs to be. If you have a larger dog then it shouldn't be a problem.
